Prayer

Welcome the the Prayer Year of Vision4Life - an initiative of the United Reformed Church

Welcome to the Prayer Year of Vision4Life, the second of three years that we hope will start to transform the United Reformed Church, and our partners, for mission. We began with the Bible Year, and hope you enjoyed making some discoveries to refresh how you see the Bible and your life together.

The Prayer Year runs from Advent 2009 to December 2010, when the Evangelism Year begins.

The Evangelism Year booklets have now been mailed to local churches that have signed up for Vision4Life.

You can take a look at the booklet and download a pdf by clicking the image.

Large Print Versions
A very limited number of large print versions of the booklet are available direct from Church House. Please email Tracey Hardingham if you would like a copy by the end of November. There will be a small charge for these (yet to be decided). Alternatively you can download the pdf of the booklet opposite and print it at A4 size.

Note about the mailing: If you have told us of any changes in mailing requests since mid July, please bear with us as we may not have caught up immediately. We are dealing with nearly 700 individual bulk mailings and late changes after the advertised deadline of 15th July require a manual change of details apart from the automatic generation of labels from our database. If we don’t get it right first time, please just drop us a quick email to let us know and we will try to get it right as soon as possible.

Evangelism Year resources will begin to appear on this site but for now, here is a document with a few ideas from churches that could be used as a link to the evangelism year. Download PtoE – moving on ideas.pdf here

Hopes and Prayers

We have really valued the opportunity to discover more about prayer through our search for Vision4Life material and hope and pray that this year for you may also be a real blessing and bring a deepening of your prayer life too.

Vision4Life is a process which the United Reformed Church is following for 3 years from Advent 2008 through to Advent 2011. It is three years of focus on re-engaging with the Bible, Prayer and Evangelism with the purpose of bringing transformation to the URC and its partner churches. Take a look through the contents of the site using the menu at the top or select items from the Prayer Year menu to the right. You can sign up to the process as a local church or join in the forums as an individual. There’s lots to discover and the site grows week by week with resources, comment and news. Enjoy!
